Salmon Pâté

  • 250g skinned salmon fillets
  • 200g cream cheese
  • 30ml fresh chopped dill
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 5 -10ml ginger, garlic and chilli sauce
  • Toasted bread and breadsticks, to serve
  • Kenwood Food Processor fitted with knife blade
  1. Preheat a grill to medium and cook the salmon fillets for approx. 8 -10 minutes, turning once during cooking until just flaking. Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely.
  2. Meanwhile fit the knife blade into the food processor.
  3. Break the salmon into pieces and place half in the food processor. Add the remaining ingredients and fit the lid.  Blend on speed 2 for approx. 45 seconds, scraping the side of the bowl if necessary, until smooth. Fold in remaining salmon. Transfer to a bowl, cover and chill for 4 hours.
  4. Serve with freshly toasted bread and breadsticks.
